Action research in the community
As a research collective consisting of six applied linguistics researchers and 12 community members from Montreal and Burnaby, we observed, reflected, and acted in response to our experience with accent bias in various communication settings such as education, workplace, and community. We created several mini-projects, all with a goal of raising people's awareness of accent and language bias.
